Project 2 - PRIVATE APARTMENT INTERIOR

Summary
Making sensible use of completely unreasonable spaces is a true challenge for every interior designer – but also a beautiful one. I simply had to engage in a project like this.

Description
A handful of new attic story apartments were created at a busy spot in the 1st district when a beautiful house dating back to more than a hundred years ago was renovated.
My client opted for a silent corner apartment. Architecturally, its interior features and layout could not have been worse. The bathroom was especially small and due to the skew roof possibilities were limited. My vision was that with an uncustomary use of materials we could achieve an organized look.
I chose therefore decorative concrete for the bathtub, the basin and its counter, and one of the walls. The bathtub and the basin were moulded on spot, while the wall covering was made in a workshop.
The only thing to be sad about was the slow progress owing to my client’s lifestyle.
